Electric vibration motors MVE

Externally mountable electric vibration motors of the MVE series can be used in a very wide range of applications in all areas of bulk material handling, concrete compaction and component testing. The application of a vibration motor is possible wherever material flow or compaction problems can be solved with the help of vibrations.

Vibration

Compared to a “normal” electric motor, the vibrator MVE has an extended shaft on both sides. Eccentrically mounted weights are located on this motor shaft. When the motor shaft rotates, the unbalanced weights generate a circular oscillation (the vibration).

The bearing of the motor shaft consists of generously dimensioned bearings suitable for continuous use in order to withstand this overload permanently.

Electrical connection

All vibrators are suitable for operation on a mains supply with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz and generate a circular vibration. They have multi-pole stators and are available in the following graduated standard speeds:

• 3000 rpm (2 pole)
• 1500 rpm (4 pole)
• 1000 rpm (6 pole)
• 750 rpm (8 pole)

By using a frequency converter, the speed of the vibrator can be continuously adjusted. Thus, different vibration frequencies can be realized in order to optimally adapt the motor to an existing task.

Voltage: three-phase 380/400 volts (star connection) or 230 volts (delta connection).
The vibrators of sizes MVE 60/3 to 300/3 are also available in a single-phase version for operation on a 230 V AC connection.

Adjustment/adaptation

The unbalance force and vibration amplitude of the vibrator can be adjusted by means of adjustable unbalance weights mounted in pairs on the shaft ends.

From size MVE 1400/15 and MVE 800/1 upwards, it is possible to equip the vibrator motor with split housing covers. This has the advantage of easier access for adjusting the unbalance excenter.

Protection/safety

The vibration motors of the MVE series are protected against the ingress of water and foreign bodies according to IP66 and can be used at temperatures from -20°C to +40°C.

CE conformity

The vibrators of the standard series have an explosion protection certification according to ATEX Ex II 3D 100°C (zone 22). For higher protection classes, the MVE-E series is available, with Ex e II tD A21 T 150°C certification. Also available is a pressurized version MVE-D with stainless steel enclosure covers, certified to II GD Exd IIB T4 Ex tD A21 IP66 T135°C.

Spare parts/repairs

We also carry out overhauls and repairs of defective unbalance motors. This includes, among other things, the re-bearing of the rotor and replacement of defective components. Please contact us in advance for this.
