Roller vibrators
Roller vibrators are based on the same operating principle as the series of ball vibrators. In the roller vibrators, a roller is used instead of a ball to generate the high-frequency vibration. This enables a higher centrifugal force and thus stronger vibrations.

The roller vibrators of the OR/BR series belong to the class of pneumatically driven vibrators. They use a roller blown by compressed air to generate imbalance. Roller vibrators are used for a wide range of tasks in bulk materials handling, storage and conveying technology, and industrial automation, including
- support of the material flow
- screening
- compacting
- sorting
- loosening
- conveying
- cleaning with the aid of vibration
Roller vibrators can be used, for example, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, on small hoppers, bins, classifiers or screening plants. They are ideal for maintaining the flow of material in confined areas of the production process.
The housing of the roller vibrator is made of an aluminum alloy and protected against corrosion by an anodized coating. Inside the housing a hardened raceway is pressed in. A roller runs in this raceway, which is blown with compressed air. Due to the eccentric movement in the circular path, the roller generates a strong imbalance. This is transmitted via the housing as a vibration to the component to which the roller vibrator is attached. The housing is completely closed, so that no dirt can penetrate and damage the roller vibrator.
Pneumatic roller vibrators develop high centrifugal forces and run reliably in almost any installation position. The hardened race is durable, but should be protected by adding oil to the compressed air (by using a mist oiler) to prevent premature wear. This allows a roller envibrator to be used with virtually no maintenance, making it the first choice for a wide range of applications where particularly strong vibration is important.
Our air roller vibrators develop very high centrifugal forces, are almost completely maintenance-free and are available in four different sizes. Alternatively, our ball vibrators or maintenance-free turbine vibrators can also be used.
Application
Pneumatic roller vibrators are suitable for the following applications:
- Vibration drive for small vibrating tables, chutes or sieves
- Preventing build-up on the walls of bunkers, hoppers, bins and silos
- Discharge aid for bulk material bins
- Maintaining the material flow and releasing product jams in bulk materials
Vibration
The vibration is generated by means of a roller guided in a hardened circular path and blown with compressed air. The roller vibrators generate a circular vibration.
Pressure/Temperature
The vibrators are operated with up to 6 bar of compressed air. By throttling the air supply (2-6 bar), the frequency and strength of the vibration can be increased/decreased.
The standard operating temperature is -20°C to a maximum of +200°.
A 2/2 way valve and filtered compressed air are required for operation. The roller vibrators should be operated with lubricated compressed air to achieve their maximum service life.
Protection/Safety
The enclosed silencer ensures quiet operation, and there is also explosion protection to the following ATEX specification:
Zone 21 II 2D c T95°C/135°C/200°C/210°C.
