Stochastic redistribution

On the subject of “stochastic redistribution”, our customer was looking for a way to optimize the automated assembly of small components in the robot-assisted pick&place process.

Here, the robot arm can only pick up the miniature components if they are in certain orientations. Berger Maschinenbau was able to provide the customer with the perfect solution in the form of a custom-built vibrating table that is specially designed to the dimensions of the customer’s production line. The miniature components are now conveyed as bulk material into the edged plate of the vibrating table. For the so-called stochastic redistribution, the bulk material is now vibrated with recurring, short vibrations and thus perfectly redistributed for pickup by the robot.
